Things that stop critical thinking.

Critical Thinking is one of the most important step to test our intelligence and common sense. Critical thinking  can be defin as ‘thinking about thinking’.

Critical Thinking is important as it help us to evaluate information. But nowadays, people have stopped analyzing things critically. The reason for such an attitude may be put upon on the interference of socail media, because these days we are too busy on thinking about getting likes on our stuff that we almoat overlook the things which does require critical thinking.

Moreover, somewhere I read other things which hinders the process of critical thinking. These things are as follows:

  • Lack of respect for reason.
  • Intellect arrogance.
  • Unwillingness to listen.
  • An unshakable faith in received values and ideologies.
  • Prejudice, impulse and emotional values.

So if you are a person who do not involve himself in critical thinking than try to find reasons for such an attitude. Because you are a better person and a much better thinker!

  1. This was an interesting read, as I find the interference of social media has led people to believe that they are thinking ‘critically’ when in actual fact – they are blindly following/believing everything at surface value… A good read, thank you for this 🙌
